100% Offline

PhotoSort is a strictly offline desktop application. During normal use it does not collect, upload, sync, transmit, or share any of your personal data.

1. Data Collection & Use

PhotoSort does not intentionally collect personally identifiable information (PII); it does not build user profiles; it does not log behavioral analytics; it does not send remote telemetry. All actions (including viewing, moving, renaming, and undo operations) are executed entirely within your local file system.

2. Local-Only Processing Principles

  • Reading images, generating thumbnails, moving/renaming files all occur locally on your operating system
  • No hidden duplication of files (except when an automatic rename is necessary to avoid conflicts)
  • No private remote cache is created and no background network transfer tasks are initiated
  • No data is written beyond what is necessary for basic configuration (e.g., user preferences)

3. Data We Do NOT Store or Transmit

PhotoSort does not store or transmit any of the following:

  • Image or file contents
  • Cloud backups of directory structures or file indexes
  • Usage metrics (frequency, clicks, sorting preferences, etc.)
  • Device information or system fingerprints
  • Geolocation data or network identifiers (IP, MAC, etc.)

4. Possible Local Data Created

To improve usability, the Application may store locally only:

  • Configuration/preferences (e.g., interface language, theme, recently used target folders)
  • Ephemeral runtime cache (released when the process exits)

All such data can be removed by clearing configuration or uninstalling the Application.

5. Permissions

PhotoSort only accesses directories you explicitly select:

  • Access scope is constrained by your operating system permissions/sandbox
  • It does not scan unapproved directories
  • It does not recursively read non-image files beyond what is necessary

6. Third-Party Services

PhotoSort bundles no third-party tracking, analytics, advertising, or cloud sync SDKs; it does not call remote APIs to fetch or send user data.

7. Security Considerations

Because the Application performs no network communication, the risk of external data leakage is inherently reduced. We still recommend that you:

  • Use a trusted system account
  • Back up important image collections regularly
  • Avoid handling sensitive files in public or monitored environments

8. Your Control

You may at any time:

  • Delete or move any image files
  • Clear or remove the list of target folders
  • Uninstall the Application to remove local configuration entirely

9. Updates to This Policy

If a future version introduces optional online features (e.g., sync, backup, update checks), we will present a clear notice and obtain your explicit consent before enabling them. Updated versions of this Policy will show an "Updated Date" upon release.

10. Contact
